My Background

I have over 25 years of experience working in marriage and family counseling or therapy. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and a Masters degree from Princeton University. I received my advanced, post-graduate training in marriage and family therapy from the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). I have received training in all of the major techniques of couples therapy, including Imago, PREP and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). But, I find that EFT generally produces the deepest and longest-lasting change in couples and I use it the most in my practice.
Perhaps just as importantly, I have been married 32 years and have three children, two nine-year-old twin girls and a seventeen year-old boy. |
